Burned

Ugh, Colton & I went to the pool today and I got a little burned in some places. :(

ANYWAY! Today was a good day. Started the day off with eggs/beans/canadian bacon. Couldn't eat it all because sometimes eggs make me wanna puke (CUZ I EAT THEM ALL THE DAMN TIME). Then went for a 45 min walk in the south Texas heat. I *tried* to go earlier than I did yesterday but still left the house at 10:15. It seemed hotter yesterday plus I was fatigued. Prob why I only lasted 15min. But I did take another 15min walk at about 8 last night & it was much better!

Didn't eat much of a lunch. Just a spoonfull of PB with sugar-free jelly & a puding cup. Then we went to the pool.

Dinner was ground beef with a can of diced tomatoes & cut up zuchini. yum!

Now I am burned & tired, eating a sugar-free grape popsicle. And Colton is spending the night with his grandmother. Peace & quiet!

Late Night

Today is my cheat day! Yay! Last night I went and visited an old friend and had a late night so I am a little tired today. But it was worth it. Today Colton and I will be having beans and fried noodles and Ill probably make a pan of brownies with some Reese's PB Cups thrown in. What are beans and fried noodles you ask? I honestly believe it is something that my grandmother made up long ago when she had to feed 9 kids. What you do is make a pot pinto beans like normal and when they are done just set them aside. Then get some egg noodles, boil them until they are done, drain well then drop them into a frying pan with a little oil and fry them 'till they are crispy. This stuff is probably one of the MOST horrible things (health wise) to eat but it's so deliciuos! And Ive never know anyone outside of my family that has known what it was. Colton and I thoroughly enjoy it and he and i can go through about 3/4 of a bag of egg noodles.

I tried to go for a walk this morning but that only lasted 15 minutes because it is sooooo DAMN HOT today! I went at 10 and it was already unbearable. JEEEEZ.

Filets!

Today was a very good day diet/exercise wise!

For breakfast I made fried eggs with canadian bacon (the eggs were actually pretty gross. I need to work on that) After breakfast I went for a 45 minute walk. I really should start playing Dead Animal Bingo when I go on my walks. Today I saw a dead armadillo.

For lunch I had PB and sugar-free jelly on a low-carb wheat tortilla. (which is one of my favorite things to eat no matter what time it is) Then went swimming for a few hours.

For dinner I made bacon wrapped filets (FOR THE FIRST TIME!), salad & asparagus tossed in sesame oil and sesame seeds. Even my 12yo said the meat was delicious! Very tender and not dried out at all. For dessert I took a low-carb wheat tortilla & put some mini sugar-free Hershey bars on the tortilla, folded it in half and put a little butter on the outside of the tortilla. Baked it for about 6 minutes and put a scoop of low-carb ice cream on top. YUUUM.

When I went back to pick up Colton from the pool there were THREE girls hugging on him. wtf. THEN one waved to me like she knew me. Girl, I don't know you and get your paws off my baby! I hate that he's getting older!

Hopefully I will have lost another lb or two by this weekend. Crossing fingers!

On another note, I really need to pick up my knitting needles again. Just soooo lazy. :-/

Sunday!

Good morning! Well, yesterday was a much more successful day than Friday was! For breakfast I had a South Beach meal bar then went for an hour walk (which was 3mi, btw). Lunch was a turkey wrap made with a low-carb wheat tortilla & a few strawberries/blueberries. For dinner my son & I had low-carb beef and bean borritos. I made a pot of beans and browned some ground beef. Added onion, bell pepper, garlic, cumin and a little chili powder to the meat. Put them on a low-carb wheat tortilla with cheese and sour cream and ate it up! Even made guacamole & ate it with pork rinds. Yuum! Even my 12yo enjoyed it, though he did say he would have liked a different tortilla. To end my day, I had low-carb vanilla ice cream with Cherry Coke Zero poured over it while my son had a piece of cake left over from Friday night. He also came home from his grandmother's with 4 cupcakes & a peach kolache. UUUGGH! I did really well at resisting, probably cuz I had more than my fair share Friday night. :-/

Today I'm going to have another South Beach bar for breakfast. I will probably throw in some berries also. Ill have leftover beans/meat for lunch and I'm going to make a low-carb pizza for dinner. My 12yo LOOOVES it! I will probably get my butt on the elliptical today and I know we're going swimming for a few hours.

I'm posting this from my Palm Centro, so I hope it comes out ok and that I've spelled everything correctly!

Oops

I kinda did an oops last night. :( Last night was my youngest cousin's graduation from High School so I headed to my grandmother's right after work. They had a huuuge spaghetti dinner for her and a nice cake. The spaghetti was made from whole wheat and my uncle used turkey instead of ground beef. I had TWO huge plates of the stuff with garlic bread. And THREE (yes, THRRRREEEEE) pieces of cake. My stomach and my bowels were not happy with me to say the least. :( I did get up this morning and walk for an hour. Not real sure on how far i went since I took a new route and haven't driven it yet.

Here's to a new day and stayin on track!

BLOGSPOT VIRGIN!

Ok, this is my first post... Let us see how well I keep up with this or if i totally forget about it in a week. I do have another blog out there but I will use this one for weight loss since my other one is private and Ive had that one for nearly 8 years.

Anyway, I want to share a picture of me at my heaviest... ~200lbs. This was taken 4 years ago in Atlantic City in front of the Hard Rock Cafe. I was in a size 16, nearly in an 18. I would get heartburn nearly every night, was tired all the time and was just generally UNHAPPY. Not too long after this picture was taken I decided that I needed to lose weight.

I do the low-carb thing but I do allow myself 1 day a week (usually Saturdays) to eat whatever I want. Ill make cookies for my son and I or whatever and eat what i like. Hell, even toast. This way I don't feel like I am depriving myself too much of anything.

SO! Here I am today at 152lbs and a size 8. Now that I am down to this size, the weight doesn't want to come off nearly as fast as before. :-\ I do the elliptical, walk or the p90x videos like 3-4 times a week. It's hard, especially walking in the South Texas heat. But, I AM determined to get down to 130 by the end of August! It's been a long, hard, emotional journay but i know I can do it. Oh, and I don't get the heartburn anymore, Im MUCH happier and i just feel better. I know some of you know what Im talking about.

Feel free to leave me comments, Im still new to this so excuse anything stupid I say/do for a little while. :)

Welcome to my weight loss blog!
